In March, at the Biathlon World Chamionships in Holmenkollen, Oslo Tarjei and his three team mates , Thinges Boe, Hegle Svendsen and the Norwegian hero Bjoerndalen, won Gold in the Mens Relay. A fantastic victory winning at home!

Posting a combined a time of 1:13:16.87, in what was a dramatic race with Germany finishing just 12 seconds behind, taking Silver and Cananda Bronze.

THE MENS BIATHLON RELAY

Teams of four competitors of the same gender (Women: 4 x 6 km – Men: 4 x 7.5 km).

Each stage includes two rounds of target shooting (one prone and one standing), each competitor has eight shots to hit five targets. The three last cartridges must be loaded individually. Competitors are required to complete a penalty loop of 150 metres for each target missed after eight shots.
